Well, it's really hard to tell.

Do you have a piece of software that will be able to read pieces of data flow from both your software and your modem and unite them together in the shape of a graphical image and additional information (about who the fax is sent to)?

We have a developer's tool called Virtual Serial Port Control, that potentially
could help you develop your own software that would make a copy of the data flow
from the software to the modem and send it to a virtual serial port, but starting from there we do not have a solution that would transform that data into a graphical image.

So do you have such software?

Hello!

Unfortunately it's impossible for USB over Network server to make its way through firewall and router. You need to set up the port-forwarding manually and add the necessary port numbers to fire-wall to make "usb over network" server and client communicate with each other. It doesn't happen automatically.

You said that you upgraded the software - the newest version is 2.5.1 (not 2.1.1). Have you installed version 2.5.1? And please make sure you have the same versions on the workstation and on the server. Also enable auto-redirection, then unplug the device and plug it again (sometimes windows takes up the device before our software can do it). Also make sure you have the blackberry drivers on the server.

What is OS on the server?

Hi,

Client: IGEL Thin Client

Server: Virtualized Hardware via VMWare
Windows Server 2008 Standard (64 Bit)
Trial Version of USB for Remote Desktop 2.5 ("fresh" installed)

As I can see you installed different versions of USB for RDP: on the server you have version 2.5 but on the client you have version 2.4. Please install identical
versions of the product on both PCs.

Should it work in Terminal Server Session, that each Session has its own USB-devices?

As soon as you enter terminal session with your device redirected, all other users (even though they have their own accounts) can see this device. Our software emulates as if a device is really plugged into terminal server.

Hello Matt, we had a chat conversation with you the day before. As far as I remember you had a problem using our USB for RDP and not USB over Network.

I asked you to try to use the scanner with USB over Network to see if it works with this very product because with the help of it we will do the remote debugging. But it seems you confused the usage of the product:

I am connecting through RDP from the machine that has the scanner to the server that I need to be able to use the scanner from.

USB over Network consists of two two parts - Server and Client which are connected over the Network and not via RDP. Please see our on-line tutorials to find out how the USB over Network works: http://www.fabulatech.com/usb-over-network-tour.html

We need you to share you scanner for us with the help of USB over Network, give us your public IP and TCP-port number so we could connect and fix everything. Please send us this information to support@fabulatech.com

The device disappears from the device list of a local PC because the modern USB technology doesn't allow to access the same device by several clients at a time. That is why after the device is shared the possibility of local usage gets excluded. But I see why you can use USB over Network Client and Server on the same PC.

Also you wrote that on Jun 19th, 2009, 7:38am, bblaze wrote:
On the software I noticed a setting to accept clients "on demand" and it will share to whoever requests access (one at a time) without the error message.

My question is: does our software cause any error messages after the sharing is stopped when the remote client is connected to this shared device?

Please describe your actions on getting the error 30. Do it step by step. And it would be better if you post a screen shot picturing this error.

As for " Authenticode and an expired certificate" - is it USB over Network that
pops up this message?

Also please specify if OS on both is x32 or x64.
