How to get data and display it ?

Hey every body
 
I want to know how to get data from serial port with this spicefications  
 
baud rate = 4800
stop bits = 1
parity bits = even
data bites = 8  
 
and convert the data bits to decimal value to display it in text box
 
please help me in harry

Can you please specify your programming environment? And please look through examples. You can find them here:

\Program Files\Serial Port Control\Borland\Examples
\Program Files\Serial Port Control\Microsoft.NET\Examples
 
I think you may find answers for all your questions while investigating these examples.
