Title: There is no object in this control Post by drisp on Sep 27th, 2007, 3:49pm I just bought a licence to use Serial Port control when i add the control to a form in MS Access 97 and then open that form this message appears: "There is no object in this control" a white box appears where the Serial port controller was added. while under a trial licence i used this software in visual basic environment very well. i also tried to use it in access under the trial licence but it wouldnt let me open a form because it said i could not use it my own projects as it was a trial version.... please help |

Title: Re: There is no object in this control Post by drisp on Oct 2nd, 2007, 6:55pm ok as i have been searching for a solution between doing other jobs i have found a fix for this problem :D link is here http://www.mvps.org/access/bugs/bugs0029.htm also for those who dont wanna click links this is the fix 1) Place your FabulaTech control on the form 2) Size it. as in drag a corner out 3) Cut it to the Clipboard (Ctrl-X) 4) Paste it from the Clipboard (Ctrl-V) 5) Position the control where ever you would like 6) save form and use it this is what i did and it worked. dont know why but it does case closed |
