Title: Suggested feature
Post by Melgar on Sep 15th, 2007, 10:13am

i think it would be good to have some kind of logfile for the incoming connections with timestamp, connection duration and maybe some process-logfile if possible...
just in case it is not to hard to add this

regards,

Does the server service run if I do not login?

Example:
Typical server will sit in it's Login screen, and when it is restarted it will automatically start the "USB over Network" service with the devices connected as specified.

The service should start without relying on a user to login to the server and start it manually or rely on the "StartUp" feature in windows.

Hello,

Yes, USB over Network Server starts even prior user logon.
All you need is just configure list of shared devices. Then, each time, on system boot, these devices will be shared automatically (prior to user logon). If the device is not currently plugged, USB over Network Server waits until the device is plugged, and as soon as the device is detected, USB over Network Server shares it.

Also, you can use useful feature "Share USB devices automatically". In such case all plugged USB devices (except the devices in exclude list gets shared.

Once again, all that works even prior to user logon.

Thanks!

It would also be good to log the user who make the connections and disconnections.

Regards.
