macOS Products Update
26 July 2024New versions of USB over Network, Webcam for Remote Desktop, Scanner for Remote Desktop and Sound for Remote Desktop are available for macOS!
Latest macOS Sonoma is now supported by all products. USB over Network GUI now allows to connect and manage some remote devices, shared on another computers (so-called Servers). Sound quality was improved in the Sound for Remote Desktop. Other minor changes and optimizations were made in all products.

In this release, all products received new serial port driver, support for latest operating systems and a lot of other improvements.
USB over Network 6.2 for macOS

The main feature added in this version is a graphical user interface, which will make program usage a lot easier for new users. Of course, under the hood, it has the same powerful core, compatible with our products for Windows and Linux and driven by the flexible system of Sharing Rules.

This product was completely rewritten from scratch which brings a compatibility with the latest Windows version of Sound for Remote Desktop. The product supports audio device redirection from any compatible Linux distribution to a Windows Remote Desktop session over Microsoft RDP and Amazon NICE DCV protocols. Audio passthrough to the Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop is also supported in case of using compatible thin client.

Big Update of Remote Desktop Products
9 May 2023Meet another massive update of our device redirection suite!
New versions of USB for Remote Desktop, Scanner for Remote Desktop, Webcam for Remote Desktop, Biometrics for Remote Desktop, Serial Port for Remote Desktop and Sound for Remote Desktop are available for Windows, Linux and macOS.
The main feature of this release is support for Amazon NICE DCV protocol. With earlier support for Microsoft RDP, Citrix ICA and Teradici PCoIP protocols, FabulaTech products become the most flexible solution for connecting device to cloud, virtual desktop instance or remote session.
A lot of minor improvements and bugfixes were made in the products as well.

Latest macOS Ventura is now supported by all three products. Video quality was improved in the Webcam for Remote Desktop. Scanner for Remote desktop now supports duplex scanning, JPEG and LZW compression. And some minor bugfixes were made in USB over Network.

USB for Remote Desktop 6.1
9 November 2022USB for Remote Desktop 6.1 available for Windows as well as compatible USB over Network 6.1 for macOS.
A lot of device-specific improvements have been implemented in Windows version of the program. Data caching for audio devices has been fine-tuned for smooth playback over poor network connection. Improvements in session isolation of webcams and printers, speed of mass storage devices and compatibility with android devices have been made. Minor bugs have been fixed as well.
Issue causing some applications to crash occasionally has been fixed in macOS version.

Scanner for Remote Desktop 3.0
16 May 2022Scanner for Remote Desktop 3.0 has been released for Windows and Linux.
In Windows version, calibration support has been added for SANE backend. Issues with image dimensions, preview as well as some scanner and datasource-specific bugs have been fixed.
Release for Linux brings support for hardware bufferization in Fujitsu scanners. Support for eSCL scanners has been improved as well. And a lot of minor issues with paper dimensions, centering and detection on some backends have been fixed.
Sound for Remote Desktop 4.0 Beta

This product was completely rewritten from scratch which brings a lot of new possibilities. All major remote desktop protocols are now supported and absolutely all sound recording or playback software running in remote RDP, ICA or PCoIP session can interact with local audio devices. Operation in low-bandwidth networks was greatly improved as well.

10 September 2019We proudly introduce you the major update of our flagship product! USB over Network 6 available for Windows and Linux.
Windows version comes with a tons of new features such as easy understandable symlinks for Clients, Servers and devices, autoconnect of all devices on callback connection, ability to continue local usage of the device which was shared but not yet connected by Client, and to disconnect a device from Client without unsharing. New FabulaTech Virtual USB Host Controller driver brings full support for USB 3.0 and great performance improvement under the latest Windows OS. Also, UI was enhanced and polished, performance and quality tweaks are added for HID devices, fine-tuning of interval for broken connection detection is added. A lot of bugs fixed as well.
Linux version comes with improved performance and stability for a high-speed USB 3.0 devices thanks to a multi-core support on the Server side, automatic creation of sharing rules and ability to create callback connection to Clients. The Client side obtains improved UI, enhanced device connecting rules, support for callback connections, SSL and external command execution on device connect/disconnect.

New features have been added: the possibility to use SSL in callback connections, devices can be connected by its VID/PID using the command-line utility. Sharing Rule Manager has been improved also: now it is possible to assign a nickname to a device and change its serial number.
Overall stability and performance have been improved for high load situations with extremely large number of Servers or Clients or devices. Compatibility with some USB devices has been enhanced as well.
